The Open Banking state of play
The payment services directive (PSD2) became effective on the 13th of January, 2018, in the whole European Union.
This directive forces the banks to open their information systems to third parties, a concept known as Open Banking. Banks must comply to it before September, 2019.
As of today, 9 French banks out of 27 have already implemented SPD2-compliant APIs.
